The Shira Ruskay Center is a partner with The New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA) to
provide social work support as part of their End-of-Life Care Community Support Program in three Brooklyn communities (Flatbush, East Flatbush, and Midwood). This project increases older adults’ access to, and use of, end-of-life care services by:
- Empowering seniors and caregivers to make informed decision about end-of-life care services.
- Building the capacity of the local aging-services delivery system for accessing end-of-life care services for their clients, through creation of a learning network for aging-services providers.
